Fresh voices. Stronger value. Your building.

Dear Owner,

The 83 Queens Bridge Street Owners Corporation Committee controls a Melbourne skyline asset worth over $300 million. The decisions they make directly affect your fees, your return on investment, and your quality of life as a lot owner.

We are the Owners for Change — a group of fellow lot owners at 83 Queens Bridge Street who believe it is long overdue that owners get more accountability, better communication, and genuine action in owners’ best interests from the committee they elect.

We respect that the current committee is made up of longstanding volunteers who give their time to the building. At the same time, when the same people have held seats for many years, it can become harder to bring new thinking and energy into the decisions that shape this building. We believe it’s time for change.

New voices, new expertise, and renewed energy — listening better to owners and making decisions focused solely on owner interests.

We are five motivated, qualified, and diverse owners who want to help bring that change. Here is what we stand for and what we would work hard to achieve for you if elected onto the committee in 2026.

What We Stand For

A Commitment to Lowering Fees Within 18 Months

Our fees do not have to keep rising. We will commission a full independent financial review to understand exactly where owner funds are being spent — and whether they are being wasted. From there, we will strengthen our financial position through more competitive tendering, independent third-party quotes for building works, and tighter contractor agreements, with an aim to reduce owner levies within 18 months through better value-for-money decisions and sharper pricing.

A Dedicated Committee Contact Email

Every owner should have a clear, reliable way to raise issues or concerns and know they will be heard by the committee they elected. We will establish a dedicated committee email address so that no owner concern goes unanswered.

Better Communication with Owners

Many lot owners feel disconnected from what happens in their own building and do not have a voice on the committee. At present, there is no regular communication from the committee to owners between AGMs. We will deliver a bi-monthly committee update to owners and create an online owner community page to keep you informed year-round.

We will also seek more feedback from owners on changes that affect us all. Do owners want a new lobby? A refurbished gym? More accessible ramps in the building? 24/7 automated parcel lockers? Right now, we simply don’t know — because owners aren’t asked. That changes with us on the committee.

Better Security

Our building sits at one of the busiest intersections in Australia, in a high-risk suburb with elevated street crime. We take security seriously. We will review and strengthen building security measures to ensure that owners, residents, and their property are properly protected — because feeling safe in your own building should never be a question.

A Fresh Long-Term Vision for Our Building

For too long, our building has operated without a clear long-term roadmap. If elected in 2026, we will consult with owners and develop a practical, common-sense 5-year plan for our building covering maintenance priorities, risks, and improvements — with a clear focus on achieving the best possible return on investment for owners.
